3D Geomat  is a geosynthetic material used in slope protection, soil and water conservation, and other fields. Here is a detailed introduction:

Material Composition: It typically uses high-molecular polymers such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) as the base material. Some products embed high-strength glass fibers or polyester fibers to enhance tensile strength. Ecological additives such as UV protectants, biodegradable components, or plant growth promoters may also be added.

Structural Characteristics: It has a three-dimensional space formed by multiple interwoven layers, with a porosity generally between 60% and 80%. The surface layer is a loose fiber layer to trap seeds, the middle layer is a reinforcing layer to prevent structural deformation, and the bottom layer is an impermeable layer to reduce soil erosion. Its longitudinal tensile strength needs to reach 8-15 kN/m, and its transverse tensile strength is not less than 6-10 kN/m.

Functional Advantages: The three-dimensional structure of the vegetation netting can effectively fix soil particles, reduce surface runoff velocity, promote water infiltration, and reduce soil erosion by more than 60%. The vegetation root system and the netting form a "soil-root-net" composite system. When the vegetation coverage reaches over 90%, the overall shear strength of the system can be increased by 3-5 times.

Construction Key Points: Before construction, remove weeds, gravel, and other debris from the construction area and level the surface. Secure the netting with anchors or U-shaped nails at 1-2 meter intervals, with denser securing at the top and bottom of the slope. The overlap between adjacent netting sections should be no less than 10 cm. After laying, evenly cover the netting with 3-5 cm of planting soil, then plant grass seeds. Properly manage subsequent watering and maintain structural stability.
